moonlight, moon bright

I love watching the moon. I’m not fanatical about it like some people are, but when I see the moon it makes me happy.

My favorite is winter, when I’m walking in the par before sunrise and I can watch the moon phases changing daily. It is definately one of the coolest things ever to watch grow and fade.

But occasionally summer has its perks too. A few nights ago I could see the moon through my study window. Looking practically straight up between the house next door and the ancient trees in my yard, I could see it clearly with little puffy, nightime clouds hanging around.

For some reason the moon makes me feel closer to everything, while the stars make me feel farther away. I’m not talking about size, but about connecting.
